The set includes 3 pieces: 2 chairs and 1 table all made up of solid wood
- You have the option to purchase 2 more chairs at an additional price ($63-70 on Amazon depending on color)
- Color options: white, blonde colored wood, and gray
- Target.com also offers a white table with 4 pastel colored chairs (brightly colored pink, yellow, blue, and green for $160)
- There is also a plain wooden table set with 4 primary colored chairs (navy blue, red, mustard yellow, and army green for $200) that is also listed on Target.com
- Age range: 3-8 years old
- Price: $106 – 130 depending on the website you go to
- I’ve seen it cheapest on Amazon
- I personally got mine on the Target app with a $15 off promotional coupon code Target tends to run
- You assemble this yourself with your own Philips screwdriver
- for reference it took my husband about 10-15 minutes while our toddler was running around us
- The entire set is actually coated in the same finish including the bottom of the chairs and the table so you know it’s actually one piece of solid wood
The Chairs
- Measurements:
- Seat back: 25” tall
- Seat bottom is 11” wide x 10” deep
- 11” seat height (from the floor to the seat)
- Seat
- The manufacture claims the chair is rated to hold up to 100 lbs
- When I sit on the chair at 4’10” ~115 lbs I don’t hear any creaks or pops and I don’t feel like it’s about to break
- I do not recommend you sitting on them though!
- The seat weighs a little under 9 lbs
- Light enough to move around yourself but not too light where my almost 2 year old daughter can move herself
- The manufacture claims the chair is rated to hold up to 100 lbs
- The look
- Aesthetically the chair has silver screws along the sides of it
- The set doesn’t come with covers to place over the screws but I guess that was to also avoid any small pieces from falling out and potentially becoming a choking hazard
The Table
- Measurements: 20” x 24”, 20” high
- Table weighs roughly 9 lbs
- Again, feels very stable and solid and easy to move
Durability and Ease of Cleaning
I let each of these things sit on the table for 5 minutes and wiped it clean with a mild baby safe multi-surface cleaner. Or, if an accident happens I just grab a baby wipe for quick clean ups.
- Crayons
- I used a green colored crayon and was able to remove it with medium pressure as light pressure still left residue and stained the table
- Washable “Crayola” markers
- Tested blue, red, purple
- The blue color was the hardest to wipe off as it left a slight light blue stain behind but you really had to look for it
- Food
- I let red sauce and bbq sauce sit on the table for about 5 minutes and they cleaned up with no problem and with no staining left behind
I let the items sit for about 5 minutes
My Personal Experience
Personally, my daughter (22 months, 28 lbs, ~2.5 ft tall) isn’t tall enough to sit on the chair without assistance but that just means she won’t outgrow it in year. I’ve been very pleased with the quality of the actual set where everything feels very stable, the finish seems to durable, and the classic white color is very easy on the eyes with a room filled with children’s toys.
I place our set closest to the living room wall with chairs tucked in slightly (as depicted in the picture above) and the entire set occupies about 34” wide by 22” deep of space.
Thanks for reading and hope this info clarifies some questions you may have had!
*Update*
We’ve been using the table for 4 months now (today’s date: 07/22/2020) and I still haven’t seen any scratches or nicks on it after my toddler drops wooden blocks on it, scrapes hard plastic toys on it, scribbles and violently pokes the table (with a sheet a paper in between!) with ballpoint pens.
I have noticed that if you leave markers sit on the table overnight. A.K.A. if you forgot to wipe the table after your L.O. plays with markers it will leave a faint light colored stain. I’ve seen this with blue and purple washable markers in particular. The color staining doesn’t stand out at first glance but you can tell where the markings are if you’re looking at the table up close.*As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases.
